[ORIENTATION PROTOCOL — SITE : D-9, LUNAR QUANTUM OBSERVATION FACILITY]
CLEARANCE LEVEL: Black
ISSUED: [REDACTED] | Revision: 6.2
Personnel assigned to Sublevel Six are required to adhere to the following protocol without deviation. Failure to comply will result in corrective review or permanent reassignment.
RULE #1: At the start and end of each shift, confirm your identity and memory.
Use Form 9B-Delta to verify your identity and pre-lunar memory. Memories acquired post-arrival are not valid forms of confirmation. Confirming for anyone else is grounds for immediate and permanent dismissal.
RULE #2: Do not bring anything reflective past Gate L-6.
This includes visors, glass, watches, or tools with polished surfaces. Leave them in your locker. No exceptions.

FROM: Acting Director Varn, Lunar Division Oversight
TO: All Shift Supervisors – Sublevel Six
RE: Routine Enforcement of Behavioral Protocols
This is a reminder that adherence to the Six Rules is non-negotiable. Behavioral consistency is the foundation of containment integrity.
Drift in observer identity introduces measurable decoherence across all entangled nodes.
Do not speculate on your role. You are the control variable. You are the observer.
Report irregularities to your Regional Liaison.
Do not attempt to correct another employee’s behavior directly as this may result in unexpected anomalies.
Your compliance is for your protection.
–DV
RULE #3: Ignore auditory events occurring between 00:00 and 01:00 LUTC.
Do not speak, transcribe, or respond to any voices during this interval. If addressed directly by name, file an Echo-6A Incident Report and continue routine tasking.
RULE #4: Do not attempt to enter any room labeled “Room 42.”
Room 42 does not exist. It is not present or accessible on any floorplan. Personnel attempting entry will be subject to memory review and asset realignment procedures.

CLEARANCE NOTE: Redacted per Containment Review Board ruling 6-011.
00:14
I was rerouting power from corridor 3-L when I noticed the numberplate: Room 42. There shouldn’t be a 42. I walked this section three times today. It wasn’t there before. But it was now.
00:16
Door opened as I passed. I didn’t touch it. No one inside. Dim light. Constant humming — like something active behind the walls.
00:18
I heard my name. Not spoken exactly. Not to me. More like… awareness. Like the room had just remembered me.
00:19
I don’t remember turning, but I was looking in. The room seemed deeper than it should be. Desk. Filing tray. A mirror. I don’t carry a mirror. I don’t think there’s supposed to be one down here.
00:22
Someone sat at the desk. I couldn’t see their face. But their hands were mine. They wore my uniform. Same rip on the left cuff. They were filling out Form 9B-Delta.
00:23
I [REDACTED]
I think I signed something. I’m not sure whose name was on the line. I don’t remember who walked out.
RULE #5: If the central lift doors open without being activated, do not enter.
Remain still. Wait for the doors to close. Do not make eye contact with any occupants.
RULE #6: If you encounter an individual who resembles you, report the sighting immediately.
Do not interact. Do not speculate on which of you is original. Report the sighting, then continue your shift.
NOTICE: You have reached the end of your scheduled shift. Please complete Form 9B-Delta and verify identity and memory.
Do not concern yourself with what occurred before your shift began.
You are exactly where you are supposed to be.
You are exactly who you are supposed to be.
The experiment requires only one consistent observer. The rules have been followed and the pattern has been stabilized.
That is all that matters.
