Rudy Vener is a cheese obsessed retired software engineer who left the telecommunications industry to create Internet sales systems for pizzerias. His middle grade novel, Iceteroid, won first prize in the 2021 Connecticut wide Tassy Walden Awards for New Voices in Children's Literature. Three of his other completed middle grade and young adult novels, Causeway, Eyes of the Beholder and Upgrades, were finalists in previous years of the Tassy Walden competition.
